Hi all

Ive read that the DPI have stocked MC into the lower reaches of the Delatite River.

Ill say, I spent all of yesterday fishing this section with MC tackle and only hooked 'something' that spat the lure right at waters edge.

Has anyone had any luck catching these majestic fish from this part of the state?

Thanks.

We managed to pull a few greenfish out of that area last year but they were hard to find at times.

Tried to put up a few pics but for some reason they wont work ATM. Will try again later.

Here is a link to a video of Paul's (Detroit) 114cm monster but be warned, the language isn't real flash, we were all a bit excited laughing-fish.gif

Awesome fish.

Thats obviously delatite arm of the lake? Ive heard of some good fish caught and released there.

Im trying to get some info on the river itself though.
It looks very fishy.

You're right mate, these are all from the lake, think I've got these pics working again, FFFC member Paul's lovely greenfish.

This 1 I had the pleasure of watching it follow my doozer in 10ft of crystal clear water & then come from 1&1/2 metres behind to smash it right in front of me in the blink of an eye.

And then there's Paul's massive 114cm monster, all on the same weekend.

Sensational pictures mate, Im glad you got them working!

Im as green with envy as the fish themselves. You could think though, if they are there, there is a chance that they have migrated upstream a little way.

How close were you to the river itself?

Sorry about the size of that second pic, I stuffed up there. Hard to say how close to the river itself we were, although we did go a fair way up the arm there was no sign of it petering out so I'm not sure how much further you could get by boat, could be miles from the area we fished but I don't see any reason for them not to go upstream aside from the fact there were millions of small redfin in the lake which may be enough reason for the cod to hang around.
