| Hi guys, just wondering if any of you have any pics or ideas on how you store your hand reels in the boat when not in use. I normally keep them in a clear plastic box but they always end up in the side pockets rolling around and annoying the crap out of me. |

| Cut some marine carpet and place in side pockets. This will lessen the roll effect No need to glue it in the pockets, not sure of what boat you have but it should stay in place by itself if cut to fit correctly. I have everything in my boats side pockets and no noise and no rolling around. Hope this helps. |

Add a length of shock-cord into your side pocket, fixed at one end and with a loop at the other.
Simply unhook the loop and thread your handline spools onto the cord.
Seen it done, nifty trick and works a treat.

Thanks guys. Flyman, I was looking at a more designated spot for them with some kind of mount or restraint.
DougGrant - that's how I have them stored at home but never thought of doing that on the boat..thanks
Any photos out there of anyones solutions, or does everyone just let them roll around |
