Nah mate I dont but I know a guy who does and he loves it
super stable, super layout he has a 225 or 250 and its a weapon around 50knots.
Told they bit harsh in chop if driven hard but 2.49 beam has to be.
as per usual trade off stability for ride.

40 knots in a 233 is basically WOT no matter what the HP, no wonder these blokes run out of fuel !!!

if thats all i get out of my 233 il be taking it straight to the pound and swapping the dog for a cat angry-fish.gif

600xtreme. That is an excellent boat you have there.

Seriously, when you are heading out to the fishing spot through the ruff stuff, how does your boat compare to the HHs and the cats.

I imagine there would not be many trailer boats that would go past you in the ruff????

Some comments I found on the net......

@coldanman You wait till you get in a cat, I usually drink a cold one as I pass all the poor mono's struggling. Don't think I could go back to mono's anymore motoring in rough weather is just so much easier in a cat.

Now you are losing us snapper hunter. Many boats mentioned here, Haines, evos, but now you bring up a 28 ft cat. Surely this is gonna outperform any 6 m boat in every aspect. You need to decide on the size you want, then the budget then move from there.

mate without being biased the evo handles the following sea better than riding into a sea... I can also tell ya that it is also very very stable and has a very big deck space.

Thanks for that info 600xtreme

Now Wildfish........
Sorry if I lost you Wildfish. Forget about the reference to the 28ft cat - I just pasted that comment made by someone else who has experienced cats and monos first hand. That is the type of experienced advice I was looking for.

You wrote "You need to decide on the size you want, then the budget then move from there."

Size is around 6m but then would a 5.4m cat outperform a 6m HH mono? Its an important factor.

F#$K the budget. I want my next boat to be a performer. I want this to be worthy upgrade. I would be so pissed off if I purchased a HH600R which gets passed on the way to P2 by an old $15 000 shark cat. And we both know which will be the more stable fishing platform.

Is it a race to go fishing... and you get 'pissed off' if someone goes faster? .. not a very smart offshore fishing attitude sorry to say.

Nice knowing ya.
