to those who fished Bermagui and Tathra the name Ronnie Thurston will be very familiar.
Ronnie passed away on Saturday after a long battle with cancer.
Ronnie was the skipper of the "Ellendale" for many years and prior to that the "Sally Anne" and "Kim Cherie" out of Tathra.
Ronnie's funeral will be at Wolumla crematorium 11am this Friday.
To those thinking of attending dress code is strictly non formal , you are requested to wear a fishing t-shirt.
