Just thought that I'd share an excellent site for cheap(but not nasty)flytying materials.The site is wflies.com and they have excellent Tools and materials for a fraction of the price that you pay in Australia.
An example is Squirrel tail for $2.50 USD per tail,and Zonker strips for $2.30USD per pkt.
They are great prices, however I'd be a bit careful about the materials you try and bring into Australia via post. Squirrel tails, feathers, deer hair, zonker strips etc all have to be fumigated upon importation. Suddenly, your cheap purchase isn't cheap anymore. The beagles are pretty good at finding the stuff as well.
I have never attempted to buy natural materials before for this reason, but on several occasions I have previously bought soft plastic tails from OS. EVERY TIME I have received my order, I have found it to have been opened and inspected by Quarantine/Customs and they have thrown in a flyer to let me know what can and can't be posted into the country. They didn't stop my soft plastics from coming in, but they let me know what would be confiscated if attempted.
I guess if you made your order big enough, and pre planned with Quarantine beforehand it might still be worth your while.
