GME make radios. they have a vested interest in selling them, whether you have a licence (MRCOP), or not.

VMR and AMSA have a vested interest in rescuing people at sea. Teaching skippers correct operational procedures may infact save their lives one day.

All the information that one needs to know has already been provided in this thread, including the laws and where to find the handbook.

Nobody told anybody not to go do the course it was mentioned a licence was not required for certain radio types & that information as far as i'm concerned is true unlike what you're trying to babble on about
