Watching the news about the shipwreck and saw the supposed path of the boat to hit the rocks, which had the boat approaching the island on the boat's port side.
The boat is laying on its starboard side facing what I would have thought was the wrong direction.
I must have it wrong! |

Looks like with all the chicken dancing going on
Captain didn't see the cloud in front of boat
Hit the cloud & boat sank _________________ Save The Fish, Eat a Pussy Cat |

There's a reason for everything.
After the captain trashed port side, he steamed into the small bay and dropped anchor.
As what could only be described as extremely unfortunate, wind and tides ( obviously didn't have Ripcharts) swung the boat 180 degrees and up another set of rocks which has probably stuffed the starboard reversing mirror ( The boat is Italian??).
Adding to the expense of the mirror, it now appears that the captain is going to make a compo. claim after tripping and falling into a lifeboat.
Fair Dinkum! Some days it's just not worth getting out of bed.

I think she hit the rocks then floundered around (did a 180) before coming to rest and sinking where it is.
Today the skiiper claimed he tripped into a life boat and didn't mean to abandon ship deliberately.

I suppose the media have focused on shipping in general after this prang, but these figures are truly staggering,
There is nearly 9000 ships transporting bulk goods around the world,
Daily hire cost of a bulk carrier is around $7100 a day,
New Valemax carriers are capable of 400,000 tonnes capacity, twice the size of the next biggest (180,000 tonnes)
The length of these boats is 365 metres, that's 75 metres longer than the Costa Concordia! |

JayyyyyGee it was not the chicken dancing that coursed the boat to fall over, every one was doing the George street shuffle.
so next time the fish aunt biting have the crew do the shuffle it works _________________ sold it,, now what will I get |
