Gday guys,

me and 6 mates are heading to bonnie doon this weekend for a spot of fishin with the boats. Were staying at the lakeside resort which apparently has boat ramps. Just wondering if someone can give us some advice or spots on where we could get a feed of reddies?

Mate, the reddies are something you'll have to locate & where you find them 1 day doesn't mean you'll find them there again. The missus & I fished there in late October & struggled to find them on the first day but ended up getting on to a patch late in the arvo & they just went ballistic, in the clear water it was nothing to see 20 or so following a Jackall as it was retrieved back to the boat with double hookups a plenty & even a triple at 1 stage, the biggest problem is finding the larger ones, soft plastics work well on 'em also.
Triple hook up:

They'll take anything at times:

Ahhhh the serenity

My folks have a place there so have fished most of my childhood there but haven't been back for 10 years. I always found good fish had to come by and only got em by fishing yabbies amongst the timber (if there is any left)

as already mentioned, they can move around a bit

put in at Fraser on Australia Day and while we weren't really serious about the fishing we spoke to a bloke who'd caught 38 the week before and only one that day,

you'll have to move around untill you find them,
