| Either tide (prob prefer high) but best at the change/ slack period. Usually some yakkas there and maybe small salmon, trevally and slimeys or mullet. |

Hi Branson
Welcome to Fishnet. You could try making up a burley with a loaf of bread, mushed up pilchards and some tuna oil and throw in small amounts just before slack tide. That should bring something around, then just small pieces of Pilchard, I use a sliver from the tail as it's tougher to stay on the hook. Fish unweighted if you can. Otherwise use splitshots or under a float. Bait jigs can work well at times too.

Berleying into commercial jetty on a flood tide can be good for jack makeral.
Low tide change especially a 0.6m or lower can be good inside long jetty on the channel edge, again with berley for mullet and salmon etc. Start of flood normally fires.
Good luck. |
