Murray Cod, Golden Perch and Trout are good in lobster pots too from what I've read, but if its a really big Cod you have to cut it up into little pieces, if you can get Macquarie Perch you'll be on for a really big feed of Crays and we all love a big feed don't we. happy-fish.gif

Well we'll be looking for something to do once all the Carp get herpes and die, and I do like crays.

hi karpfen
a herpes virus kill off scad in the millions and caused one off the biggest environmental disasters ever seen along the south American west coast
seal ,sea birds, whales, starved to death ,where wasn't much too eat the algae ,which changed the amount of infrared being absorbed by the sea ,which changed the ocean currents, which changed our rain fall
A herpes virus kill off the food for the southern blue fin fishery in the early 1970,.It was blamed on over fishing ,which was mostly pole fishing
but those that fished at that time noticed they couldn't catch any bait .
that bait fish were dried and used for stock meal ,the supply had gone
,any virus needs a vector to carry it from fresh water to salt water
taking carp baits would do it

So, I shouldnt be using Darebin creek carp for SA cray bait?
Where do the pros get them to use?
My other options would be coutta, salmon or blue eye belly flaps. All SA salty locals.

Here.

Then Carp can no longer be the easy scapegoat for all our waterways problems.

Post a link to this being said. confused-fish.gif

No, you can't, no one blames carp and trout for "all our waterways problems"

People just make this up so they can get all emotional and throw tanties.

Self inspired tanties......gotta love it. laughing-fish.gif

So you are distancing yourself from the 'facts' that Carp are causing problems in our waterways? Wow this is a big step for you.

No, that is a strawman.

Then Carp can no longer be the easy scapegoat for all our waterways problems.

See, this is your statement. I don't blame carp for ALL our problems.

See?

No?

Not surprised.

Murrayman...

It was used as a general statement, you're the one who decided to take it literally and to pick it apart word for word, you knew what I meant and if you didn't then you are less intelligent than I thought.

If you like you can write me an essay clearly stating what you do and don't blame carp for so we're all clear and there is no confusion in the future.

Strawman!! wink-fish.gif

LOL laughing-fish.gif

This is fun. happy-fish.gif

No confusion, no one blames carp for ALL the problems. It is a line that you and the trouties make up to stir emotion (in your-selves it would seem). I just wanted you to admit it, but it would appear you are not man enough to do so. unhappy-fish.gif

Now seeing you are arguing with your own strawmans, i'll leave you to it.

Tanty in 1, 2, 3.... angry-fish.gif
