I like the Black Magic. Try to ignore the cost of one. Its really a one off purchase if you look after it, they should last a lifetime.

Reel Game,
Aftco hey, you're obviously happy with them, I looked at these a while back when in the market for a new belt. I haven't seen one in the flesh but they look the goods in the photos.
I contacted Melton International Tackle asking advice, Tracy Melton himself answered and suggested the "Smitty's Belt" "Get the biggest one, it's 22" wide!" Now I understand he was the first person to catch a grander marlin on stand up tackle, so he should have some idea. I bought the belt and it's the best one I've ever had. I use it with a Braid bum harness and the two go together really well.
Bigkel,
I've used the Black Magic and they're a great combo, really good for novice anglers as well, you don't get the belt sliding to one side as can happen with a tired angler. My best advice - "use it lots" have fun doing it.

Dont get a full harness of any kind, you back and shoulders will be killing you in no time. you need to get the pressure as low as possible this way you can sit back in the belt and take all the pressure off the your back.
