That was a great game
It sure lived up to the hype
But I dont think it should be collingwood and essendon every year
One of the commentators mentioned that
the anzac day game should be played between
whomever played of in the grand final the year before
sounds fair to me, at least then it is earned.
Interesting topic you raised ant, with good points of view. If it had to be rotated I think that method would be fair. My opinion,
I don't reckon we should break with tradition.
What happens in a couple of years when gold coast and gws, who have both been engineered to win a flag over the next few years, play off. Neither will have a large supporter base, it probably wouldn't sell out. If it is two interstate clubs where would it be played? _________________ http://swandvsfguiding.com/index.html

Great game of footy today. As for Anzac game being played with other clubs as Kel posted the problem would arise with interstate clubs with poor supporter base here in Vic.
Probably the most important point is why close down a winning money spinner for AFL?
Congrats pies, next time bombers

Anzac day is the only game played on a public holiday
and only two teams in the league benefit from it
both of those teams would be considered allready well off financially
and have massive memberships.
Did our anzacs fight so collingwood and essendon could
prosper on this day whilst some other vic clubs struggle?
I believe playing on Anzac day should be a privelege
for all teams and not a right for two teams.
maybe two vic teams could play in the arvo and two interstate
teams from the same state could play twilight or night
also 90 percent of AFL players will never get to play on anzac day
in its current format.
just my opinion _________________ Check out my face book page

Someone tell me if I'm wrong but didn't Essendon & Collingwood pioneer the Anzac day game when nobody else wanted it? _________________ PROUD MEMBER OF THE F.F.F.C.

Quanger. As far as I can recall Sheedy put the proposal to 2 other Big Melbourne based clubs...They didn't pick it up due to the possibilities of having to play after the Saturday game the week before..... _________________ Life is like a fish milkshake
