Had a trip up to Warkworth for my birthday yesterday with my good lady. Just for a change the car stayed in the garage and we used our OAP passes to get there (means you can have a few scoops if you want to !!!!)
Had not been to the castle in about 30 years and was keen to get some digital images of it. Will post up a couple of them.
After the castle we hit the Hermatage Pub for a bar meal. If you are ever in there try out the rabbit and black pudding pie - AWESOME

John. A magnificant example of 11th century remains, you could have just about walked there, great photos and it brings back some wonderful memorys of my times in your fair land.
Old castles abbeys and ruins of all types is a passion of mine as well as the still standing beauty that is spread from tip to toe of your great lands.
Believe it or not I have 22 thousand slides of such beauty and there are places I missed which I would dearly love to go back and visit.

John. Been to Bolton a couple of time, very close to one of my favorites ( fountains ) . The others are new to me.
Some others of my favorites is Melrose and Revioux but there are thousands spread all over the land.
I would love to get back over there some time with a digi camera, wow I could go mad, worse then when I used slides.
I havn't viewed my slides for around 10 years now and don't even know what I done with my projector, so they are just gathering dust in their rondets these days.
( 185 rondets full of britain ).
