Can a culture change it's ways? confused-fish.gif

Absolutely.... It's time to harden up.. You're in Australia...

Nath..

I agree Nath, but due to our multi-cultural society a bit of tolerance on our behalf, is needed for others cultures to co-exist so we all can enjoy this great land……

Right answer yes a culture can change. A culture that is over a 1000 years old that has been doing something that falls into the category of cruelty to animals ( as seen by westerner’s) can change......unfortunately it might take 2000 years. wink-fish.gif

I'm not a murderer, I'm a natural born killer and I have no more control over that than you have being homo-----sapien, or like pink flowers.

Realistically, Indonesia will pay lip service to Aus, demands for more humane slaughter.
Clandestine video shows the real picture.
Culturally, they have been killing small animals by cutting their throats and letting them bleed out, while facing them towards Mecca for a very long time.
They're hardly disturbed and probably slightly amused by our definition of cruelty, regardless of the size of the beast.
The fact that a large beast like a cow takes minutes to die and is poorly restrained is of no consequence to them.

Reality is, they will continue to kill the way their religion dictates for the forseeable future, the steps are in place to cease supply of cattle from Aus and they don't really care how we complain.

Two things :-

Firstly , I am writing to Canberra to recommend that Gazza World be listed as a place of Significant International Cultural Significance happy-fish.gif

Secondly , sorry Mick for distractions , I agree with you . Does not really need to be more complicated than that happy-fish.gif

The comparison between a fish and a kangaroo is completely ridiculous... Of course you'd be prosecuted, and deservedly so...

Why don't we use ants and elephants to make the point..??

C&R fishing is viewed by the wider community as a very sustainable practice... I'd say it's got a much brighter future than Kill comps for example...

Hell!! Good luck with that totally unsubstantiated assertion.

Are you saying that a Marlin isn't a sentient fish????

You compared a terrestrial mammal to a fish and implied they were simply the same thing, or on par... Clearly they are not...

Nath..

I'm not comparing anything, just answer the question.

He isnt here to answer anything or even help. His biggest interest is to shit stir and get off topic. Look back and it happens every time.
