Possibility of Sunday for us. No reports of late (last two weeks) though it's been too rough I guess. A few will be out Fri no doubt.

Friday and sat looking the goods at the moment, been quiet cos its been way too rough for most to get out, but I would think that fish are there just need to find them, depends on feed. Albies should be here as well by now out wide.
I got my first and only tuna 3 weeks ago now in 160m, 50klm East, but the shelf would probably be best bet. They could be anywhere after the amount of crap weather we had.
Theres a local comp on Saturday so a few boats will be out and fish should be found if they are out there. Plenty of bottom fish at the moment as an alternative if boredom sets in.

I had finally sorted out some leave and was planning to chase kings for the first time off Eden / Green Cape. With all the rain they have had and a water temp of around 16 looks like that will be a complete waste of time! I have been told by a good friend up there now everywhere is brown! I am in Melbourne so anywhere within 7 hrs drive would be ok.

Does anyone have any suggestions

We do it in 5 hours to the minute from Geelong so you're not stuffing around that's for sure.
It's a 24 hour round trip for us;
- 5 hours each way = 10
- 5 hours sleep at the ramp = 15
- 1.5 hours to shelf and 1.5 back= 3 = 18
- 5 hours fishing = 23
- 1 hour packing up and cleaning fish (hopefully) = 24

Leave at 8pm, get home 8pm.
Very important to do the drive home in shifts too as you don't want to have a microsleep towing the whole caboodle home.

Ok we have 4 days and planning to leave Thursday afternoon and head back Monday afternoon. Any Recommendations for gear and areas to fish would be great. How far out etc. This is the first time out that way so I would really appreciate some guidance.

Any suggestions on where to stay!

A good trip is a safe trip
