Last year on our Darwin trip, my mate broke his ankle.
we had to wait about 5 hours before he got in to see a Doctor as the waiting room was full.
I asked the nurse if there was a war on between two local aboriginal tribes, as there was about 50 young blokes bandaged, bleeding or on crutches. I saw a brawl between about 7 aboriginal women in the gardens out the front of the hospital.
The nurse says "No war, it is like this every day, and especially worse after pay day"

Your hearing seems to be effected, is that one of the things that you suffer from?
She didn't call me James.....she called me Dames as in DamiAn
Never been to Darwin Hosp Pale ale but I can imagine it would not be a fun place.
My hearing is great,so is my eyesight, and thats why i can clearly see you wrote James
everyone makes typos so why not just say you made a typo instead of trying to turn and try and make out it has something to do with a defect in my bodily functions.
If your real name is James, theres nothing to be ashamed of lots of members use alias names on forums...mark _________________ Heaven dont want me and hell thinks i will take over

Well thank you kind sir, your diligent reading of my post has obviously sparked an inspiration to forth come and inform me of a typo.
It actually isn’t a typo Mark. If you care to read my post again you will see ‘and one more of these’.
If you don't want to read the post again, I truly don’t care.
I was referring to the conversations that I overheard sitting in the casualty. Four different conversations.
The remark about hearing was due to your questioning of who I am? I thought that you were possibly one of the patients in the casualty....
There is no alias with me Mark. As you can plainly see in my profile.
DamiAn spelt with an A.
Again thanks for your input and please correct me at any time if I make a typo.
Have a great day

Wow I thought I was the only one here that health issue.
I spent the first 26 years of life with pretty much perfect health but that was short lived when I found out I had bowel cancer.
I had a huge operation on my 27th birthday and was in hospital for the next two weeks.
I ended up with the usual treatments like chemotherapy and radio therapy.
I was off work for 7 months till the treatment was finished and my wonderful wife worked every spare minute to support us both.
I've also had cancer cut out of my back in the mean time oh and high blood pressure which sux.
I concrete for a living even though my surgeon tells me not to.
I know it sounds corny and I really wouldn't wont this to happen to me or anyone again but it really has changed to a much better way of thinking and I thanks god that I'm still here with my family.
Thanks Damian.
Yeah it was a weird one for me.
I was working in the garden and I went to lift something heavy when I felt this sharp pain in my lower stomach.
That night when I went to the toilet I noticed some blood in my number 2's.
This went on for a few weeks and cancer being the last thing on my mind I didn't stress about it that much and lived with it.
It got worse and worse over the next few weeks so I thought I'd better go to the doctors.
The doctor gave me antibiotics thinking it was an infection.
As the antibiotics didn't help another doctor pretty much made me get an colonoscopy.
And the rest is history.
So the moral of the story is, if anyone gets bleeding please get it checked as soon as possible if you don't won't to end up like I did.
