I would love to hear opinions from peoples on what is their best cod surface lure is, ive only used them a few times but love how they send your heart racing when they get smacked by cod. I am going away to the Edward River in 4 weeks and plan to have a real crack at night with surface lures. I have mainly used the kingfisher lures and they work well but are soooo expensive. Would love to get alls thought on their most successful surface lure. happy-fish.gif

Mate
My top 3 are the jointed jitterbug, halco nightwalker and a Tailor made thing that I do not know the name of.
Close 4th and 5th are the Zara spook and Bills bug fizzer.
Have not used the new Rebel frog-r yet but it looks the goods but will need a hook and ring upgrade.
For night fishing I would start with the Halco nightwalker with the Fluro bib, I caught my biggest cod on this lure at night on lake Burley 12 years ago - 24kg 97cms.
Have fun and good luck

i got a dof doc ,once ,was surprised by the pluckker, pluckker noise it makes ,so i cast it out in the big cod hole and started to retreive ,got busted off on fifty
so now i'm using a kingfisher jointed 110 ,but having a problem with the front treble , so i changed it to a swivel hook, hope it stops catching the bib
