It's on again this Sunday, might have a go if the wind isn't as bad as predicted.

I was organising a few mates to head out, but it's closed.

http://www.thecourier.com.au/news/local/news/general/lake-burrumbeet-closed-after-suspected-algae-outbreak/2458541.aspx

Hopefully it's open before the next one.

I've been trying to get info online about it, but the only thing I can find is the article you linked to.

Geez...... confused-fish.gif confused-fish.gif confused-fish.gif confused-fish.gif confused-fish.gif confused-fish.gif
HOW can it be "Closed" to catching Carp wink-fish.gif confused-fish.gif confused-fish.gif confused-fish.gif confused-fish.gif confused-fish.gif confused-fish.gif

i.e. a NO EATING Warning is fair enough . and commonsense acceptable of Table fish...but friggin Carp disposal has no relevance in regards to the warning imo

Well looks like we aren't going carp fishing after all thanks to the Ballarat City Council, mob of gooses that lot, wouldn't know their arses from their elbows, honestly. Thanks for the info Kenour, I had heard about the algae but hadn't heard they had closed it angry-fish.gif

I rang yesterday at 5pm just to make sure, and they said it's definitely closed until further notice... Looks like I'll have to find something else to do this weekend.
