not saying weather navaras are good or bad BUT a google search on narva problems 2 years ago came up with so many unhappy people I went for the ranger, the same search came up with very little on them....too many bad comments about the clutches to ignore and fuel pumps.

Or they could just be big girls confused-fish.gif
There's a lot of those about these days, i just checked & am still sporting a pair of kahoona's & there's no skirts in my wardrobe

Like i said in opening reply people will rant & criticise allmost evrything never their fault

My desision to go with Navara over a hilux @ the time was based on a few things main one beig a 300ZX iowned a few years earlier 5 years of nothing ever breaking down on that car or leaving me stranded

Navara has been the same

I do a fair bit of work as a sub contractor for a company, they have some where near 100 vehicles . They vary from hilux, triton, navara and the ranger, and they have told their blokes no one can have nissan's anymore. They are fading hilux's out because of the cost buying them but they said they cost the least to run, they have only had the ranger for a fews years now and they say they go well but bit heavy on fuel. Some of these blokes don't mind poking them along, the tritons they have stuck with for quite a while. They have nissan xtrail's and both navara utes and what a bucket of crap, just cant believe the trouble they have with them. All these ute's go to dealers to get serviced and do around 120- 150000 then gone, can't comment on the dmax

thanks for the replies so far i was not aware of the Nissan issues I know 2 people with Navaras one a 2008 3.0TD with no Problems at all and another with 2011 2.5TD also with no problems both say best car they have ever had My opinion is they look better than the rest more power than most and seem to have more features than most but i dont want to get stuck with a 45k lemmon

I had a navara with a D40 motor for 2 years. Loved the drive and towing of the car. Looks great but had no end of problems. The main problems with the engine are the poor quality timing chain and fuel pump. Try google d40 timing chain and d40fuel pump and you can see it's a common problem. Unfortunately they are very expensive to fix. Good luck if you have one without problems but I would never touch one again.
