I am only a new addition to this site however it seems that recently the forums have really died off. Is this because people are over fishing or does this have something to do with recent events. Its a shame that the most popular thread recently which really gained some momentum had nothing at all to do with fishing or boats !!! Is this a sign of what people are really thinking?
Personally, I still think this is a great site to share information as I believe people are all experts in their respective fields and this is a place to share that information. It would seem in places people are reluctant to share that information for fear of getting into a war of words which is a real shame. I come here for a wind down after work at the last thing I want is to read a heap of he said she said arguements which sometimes are very comical as people get incorrectly quoted which then it really goes off the rails.
It is not up to me to point out the obvious at where things are at but I will say everyone knows what happens the point this stops being fun. |

With the exception of a few, people will post when they have a question to ask and when they feel they can add value through a reply.
It's not uncommon for forums to go quiet for a short period of time. They all bounce back.

hate to come across as argumentative Hydroboy...  .
but there's been a plethora of topics for your perusal right here on the best site in the universe....bar none. 
just have a look at all the political comments to scroll through ...been thinking about joining in on some myself for the sake of post-count but fear it may just be a dud rant..  there's at least several days worth to get through...  so there's some valuable time down the drain you'll never get back..  ..still think Bob Katter's da MAN for the J.O.B..
plenty going on in Freshwater..although i really miss Funda's input..any body heard from the ole chap... 
the Fly Fishing section is one that gets my attention regularly & very close to the heart & i do find myself daydreaming at times about working a fly line like a cattle whip..((c'mon you purists... seriously does it really matter how unorthodox & uncoordinated it looks whilst i fish for Trout its NOT rocket science )).. in a crystal clear pristine , calming flowing river somewhere , & id really like to add a comment or two at times but also agree that "closet" Fly Fisherman should stay in the closet.. 
you'll only get out of it what you put in Hydro...
at the same time we all have li......ang on....most of us have lives outside of here ..family...kids football..work...sitting down the ramp with ones self & allegedly drinking away the sorrows of a life less worthy than that of others.. ... .... ..
& whilst if you look hard enough , there's something here for everybody ..were not all going to agree on all matters at all times & its just as well we do have a SWAT team...sorry i meant highly trained & disciplined Moderators to watch over us & guide us back onto the path of righteousness..
oh shite.. .those Collingwood followers are getting absolutely FERAL...

| You can always do a search on a topic that interests you, then "bring an old topic back to life". Sometimes the old topics are hilarious, and new members can have a chance to read some funny shit from way back. |

still believe we are missing the "angry Viking with battle axe" emo...& the "Gunnery Sergeant Hartman " from Full Metal Jacket type emo...that one would be useful..
