that weld looks like it has let go due to lack of penetration .
they do use bog on alloy boats as part of the final prep before painting. although its not the same type of bog that you would use on an old HQ Golden..
where the paint has come off under the chine , looks to be bare Ally ....no primer or etch.. & very poor preparation..
pure buffoonery in my opinion.
if your going to paint an alloy boat there is a lot of time consuming preparation involved & i see this process carried out on a regular basis.
if your not prepared to do that prep work or pay to get it done professionally i guarantee it will look like a train-wreck in several months...you may as well just leave it bare with an acid wash.
even an acid washed hull looks more respectable 12 months down the track than a poor paint-job..
& this is the peril of buying cheap n nasty Chinese shite ....you know its always the way..people get stuff from CHYYYYYNA coz its cheap & then blue like mad mug punters when it all goes pear shaped...why didn't you buy an Aussie built QUALITY product.... .( Kevlar vest fitted & fastened...ready for incoming fire) _________________ If you don't have time to do it right, will you have time to do it again ???

| Hope they sort it for you to your satisfaction. It would not pay them to have a bad name in the recreational boating industry. I understand that all manufacturers can produce a lemon from time to time, just look at Ford, Holden etc. I hope this is a one off as looking at the paintwork you would have to question if these guys now anything about painting aluminium. What a disgraceful, shoddy job. I don't care if these boats are cheap, no one is going to buy them based on this evidence. |
