You pay an absolute BS over the top premium for them but Jackalls Jackalls Jackalls, I'm talking the TN 60's 70's etc & even Doozers (all LCB's) They are without doubt the best yella catching lures available IMO

Hey mate, you should use a wide variety of lures to suit conditions as well as the environment you're fishing, spinnerbaits and LCB's are the biggies that people use most but there's plenty to be said diving lures like poltergeists, megabass x-200/100s, Jackall squirrels. I've used blades a fair bit in my last couple of dam visits going for about 1/4oz and 45mm fellas like TT switchblades and Ecogear VX's which had it all over the larger vibes like TN60's and Megabass Smatra's on the days.
One thing that is good to remember is not to get too obsessed with getting too many colours that are similiar, as when you end up with a'favourite' gold or 'favourite' purple scheme lure the others will be neglected, you're better of picking 5 or 6 colours you like (that cover a large cross section) and getting multiples of each to compensate losses.
Other thing to remember is that you get what you pay for, Jackalls might cost 4x kokoda prices but that is reflected in the lure.
Cheers

if you want to eat the fish and dont mind going at midnight the golden perch go right up on to the edge of the lake. my friends dad went with a homemade spear and got 2 golden perch the biggest being 6kg. they ate the perch and said it was actually pretty good.

a stumpjumper is a great lure for the perch but not one that dives too deep or all you will get is a snag or weeds.

Smaller arbogast mud bugs are as good as anything and are almost snagless
