Do you go around bare footed on work sites confused-fish.gif

Well one does on boats
You'd be pretty silly trying to lay carpet over checker
You strike me as a silly person why dont you try it & give us a report laughing-fish.gif

Nothing wrong with checker for grip, as JG stated, its dear, hard to find marine grade, build up of minerals makes it oxides quickly, also a pain to clean properly. flat plate either with carpet overlay or grip enhanced paint coatings are the way to go with the better builders these days.

Re barefoot I'm sure the weather down here is the major factor, either too cold in winter or burnt to a crisp in summer.

Okay why bare feet????

Do rock fisherman fish in bare feet? Commercial fisherman, crab and lobster fishermen, ...... I seen JG's feet he should cover up looks like the feet from a 3 toad Sloth!....... You know each to there own but fish hooks, knives, gag hooks, spiney fish, sun burn, ...... Seems a no brainer to me.
