Haines Hunter 585R Limited
This thread will cover the fit up of the HH585R Limited from bare boat through to completion
Phil and the boys at P.P.B.C are preparing for this years boat show and have asked if I could assist them by putting together a fit up thread for their all new 585R Limited demo boat.
As I enjoy watching boats go together, how could I possibly refuse
For those that may not already be aware, the Limited range of boats from Haines Hunter are 'top of the range' and packed with additional features. Phil will explain more as the thread develops, however let's get the ball rolling with a few pics of the boat as it was when it arrived from the Haines Hunter factory earlier this week.
External shots of the boat
A closer look at some of the bling
Back with more soon, showing the various stages of fit up through to completion. _________________

What a cracker!
I love the shade of yellow. You don't see that very often. All the HH's seem to be white and blue in my area. |

Nice color...like the one you had previously with the twin Etecs, then twin Yammys.
This 585r hull is often spoken of as superior in handling and ride than the slightly bigger 600r. Is this the consensus, and if so, why is it?
The only extra I'd like to see perhaps in the Limited models and the upmarket Patriots is a different rubber combing....maybe something incorporating some chrome or metallic insert. It would look great and further differentiate the Limited.
Looks awesome.......with this, the 760 Enclosed and the new 625 Offshore you guys are in for a busy few weeks and I'm in for more coffee visits. |

From someone who owned a 585r I can say that it to date the best boat of have owned! The perfect all rounder and is easy to cart around the country! I actually regret getting rid of it now! But it has to be in black |

Hi Boys must say that i loved my last yellow 585R so i thought why not go it again, black seems to be the norm lately and i needed a bit of colour in my life. This time a single F225 4.2L will be fitted to the beast. Wildfish the 585R is said that its a better boat then the 600R but as i have owned both i can tell you that as for the softness of ride into a head sea its hard to beat but offshore the 600R just get it side on and in a following sea. This has to do with the difference in the hull chines also weight and lenght help. Next time you come in for a coffee i can explain in detail. Once finished i would be happy to take any one interested for a spin but me first. Mid 80's in metre seas should be fun. Hope you guys injoy the thread. Cheers Phil. _________________ www.portphillipboatingcentre.com.au |
