| Checked out a Whitepointer recently, impressive looking boat. Comparisons please re handling, stability, weight, finish, etc. Assume identical twin outboard setup. Which would you buy if you had a lazy $135k and why? |

Many of the recent look-a-likes and sound-a-lots are not what they really appear, don't be confused with this age old misconception. _________________ ** Tomorrow is another day .... oh joy .... what great responses will that bring **

Today's Forecast: Fine this morning extending well into the afternoon with flakey clouds arriving by early evening but quickly dissipating.

Obviously you don't understand or think like one? Brainwashed in today's thinking. Did you ever own an original 233? with a pair of 130's? Oh horror the thought in today's thinking where most people have absolutely no understanding of what power requirements is all about. _________________ ** Tomorrow is another day .... oh joy .... what great responses will that bring **

I think the whitepointer is a very impressive boat but I haven't been on one. The 580 they also build is also a great boat.
Given other peoples posts and the hull design differences they are probably not as soft riding but more stable at rest and more efficient than a 233.
I think you will fine they are still a soft boat, not many other boats in this size range to compare them too but have no doubts it would be a lot softer than most other plate boats available in this size. |

Kerry, confused, please elaborate. I'm comparing the two hulls, assume plenty of power twin 200 or 225's, not interested in the old Haines models etc, but talking about the current offerings.

| .....er....what has that got to do with the comparison of the two boats mentioned ? But yeah, I can see there is a tendency to over-power boats, most of the time conditions preclude its use anyway. I suppose more efficient engines has led people into bigger horsepower. |

Didn't I read somewhere the current 233 built here by Edencraft is some 300+ kg heavier than the early HH models? |
