| Am taking my 2 kids out for a fish on Friday hopefully to catch a whiting & or Squid, any ideas on the best area, bait etc, am in Geelong and was thinking of St Leonards or Queenscliff? |

| yep st leonards for the whiting, been there the last 2 times i have been for a fish, and i suck at catching whiting and have gotten a decent bag both times, with some good squid in the mix too, just takes a few moves to find them, but when you do, its game on |

Why did you call it "Barrel" then?
"ting" would've made more sense.

straight out off the boat ramp is a "green stick", its a very productive area for squid and whiting usually bite well slightly deeper. Always boats there on the Ting to give you a point of reference.
