|
|
I hope you have all enjoyed the past articles on the history of Haines Hunter and Cruise Craft. As promised I am following up the Haines story with the history of Haines Signature and the Haines Family Group.
I have already been to Queensland and enjoyed the hospitality of the Family, their staff and facilities. In particular I did extended interviews with Garry Haines (John Snr's brother) and John Jnr.
So whats YOUR story you guys - what's your favorite Signature's of all times? Who's got em and who wants to show us?
Loads of photo's and stories please. _________________ Bear |

My first boat - 2003 Signature 542F. Had some great times in it, small light boat that definitely punched above it's weight.... I had it for about 3 years and did lots of hours, spent a fair bit of money on mods/options and sold it for more than I paid.
This is me & my little bloke the last time I had it, just before trading it on my CruiseCraft ... what a sad day!
Had some great times fishing in PPB, WP, Eden, Mallacoota, Gippsland Lakes .... caught plenty of good fish and some nice family times.
I haven't seen it around the traps since I sold it but if another fishnetter knows the boat, I'd love to hear how its going now .... _________________

People often forget the origins of a Haines boat?
To me the favourite would be the 575F. I have the 550C. I drive it sitting down and when not pushed provides a dry and comfortable ride.
I have modified mine quite a bit and have no intention of changing rigs. It does everything I ask of it and I feel very safe in it.

Yes, ironmaiden, it is where you think it is (judging from your profile). RC is virtually your backyard, isn't it? |
