Protest at Rosebud this Sunday

Just goes to show what happens in the media. I absolutely guarentee there were well over 1000 people there, and it was certainly much closer to 2000.

The picture was not any indication of the numbers involved, just those wearing red in the water.

Believe it or not - if you were there you would agree with my estimate.

John is pretty much on the money - estimates range from 1500 - 2000 over the afternoon.

A quick count has produced over a thousand signatures from the rally yesterday afternoon alone.

At times the queues to sign were ~30m in total and guaranteed not everybody got to sign.

~50 various craft went out to meet the Queen, including one inflatable Turtle, accounting for ~75 protestors.

The vibe on the water was very good with only one protestor's name taken under the guise of penalty notice being given for breaching the Marine Safety imposed exclusion zone.

A few others may be issued penalty notices for various other offences under the Marine Act with regard to required safety gear - i.e: everyday offences such as not wearing PFD's or similar.
