Xmas slows things and although Ash was all set to paint last week mechanical issues with 'new equipment' and distributors closed what can you do.??
"But" there's always something that can be done to bring the reno closer to the end
Today was a prep day for the dash with my dinky side pockets getting the gel coated liners cut and trimmed and I attacked the surround housing for the Sounder/GPS to which I was complimented.
"Will need a splash of colour but it will work in real good."
I have revised my original idea on the the surround and angled the 'helm leading edge towards the w/screen giving a better view sort of directly from the helm seat.
Both seats were set where they will end up and I cribbed 9cm extra in width between the seats on what I originally had in the 'old cat set up'.
'9cm' don't sound much but when I just walk straight in instead of banging my knees it's a huge increase.
Side pocket in-fill
And my grubby seats
"MMMMMMMM one of the doors have faded"
There's a question without notice. "Can it be saved/cleaned it should be white??"
I measured up and have 1.6 sq metre approx of floor space around the seats with the area behind the dash/cuddy 1700 W, 800 D, 1200 H. (MM)
spin the box 180 degrees it could be pink and it wouldnt matter _________________ If it sounds too good to be true, its because

Now that could be a serious option as now they are only used for light storage.
Before reno they were the abode of (4) batteries that needed open space to juggle them into the bases "I tips me at"
hi
looking good its frustrating at the end while a million things still have to come together but the big ticket items are nearly done .keep at it
Why not paint the doors they wont fade or staion as easy ??
good luck
was only joking Steve I actually have 1 sittin in the shed if u want it,as I removed a bulkhead/storage box from under the passenger side of my 19R and dont need it, Im in Maltona so petrol will probably cost more than ordering a newy from whitworths, but the offer is there anyway _________________ If it sounds too good to be true, its because

Lots more undercoat splashed around that will again be faired and sanded pre paint job.
Still a bit of finishing off all over, particularly around window sets, underneath and around engine well.
Still the more undercoat and filler that goes on the better and nearer to complete it's looking.
Cut out the recesses for the Sounder and GPS and they will serve well.
(the rather large space between will accommodate 'Transducer change over, Winch, Covers and possibly Cabin light switches)
Also made up a pair of LED light bars for inside cab..will be located above Port/Starboard windows.
Will not be at the shop until Thursday week due to 'jobs on' at the shop and my work roster and even Thursday may be a flyer as I may even go for a fish.
(1)Transponder is now fitted in it's weather protection case and resin sealed in place. (Yellow pigment in epoxy for starboard...Red will be in Port)
Same shot inverted just for showing how the unit will sit.
Another inverted shot for effect ...Fuel flows in from top.
The GPS reads both engines separately via a 'twin Fuel Management harness/transponders' which is an over the counter item in the US..."Rare as here so again Locals have missed out".
Also as the Navman has been relegated to 'fuel duties' it will be replaced with a second Matrix 97c arriving soon.
