Hi everyone
I have just placed an order for my new boat, a Tournament 2000 Bluewater to be fitted with a 200 HO Evinrude E-tec. This is the 4th E-tec I have now owned.
I took this boat for a test drive in 20-25kn Northerlies in Westernport and was very impressed with performance and ride. Not a single drop of spray hit the screen or clears during the test and we were averaging 50-60kmh in very sloppy conditions. Fitted with a 175E-tec the demo delivered a blistering 76Kmh so the 200HO will be interesting to say the least. Fast top end is great but my main goal is a quick and economical cruise at 3500-4000rpm.
My new boat is being supplied by Cranbourne Boating Centre with the following options:
E-tec 200HO
Dunbier Alloy full drive on Trailer
Deck Wash and plumbed bait tank
Full colour sides: “Gotta Be Red” of course....
Dash Mounted Cooker- Built in to port side dash.
Clip in Carpets plus an Extra switch panel for my extra lighting
Little Annie Drum winch + Sarca anchor (Winch and all S/S by Quality marine Dandenong)
Fibreglass bait board with 4 rod snapper rack on board + Snapper racks wrap around both corners.
Custom made 32mm rocket launcher and bimini with slide out awning. Covers by Avtek Cranbourne
Led roof mount lights + Remote control floodlight mounted to bowsprit
Electronics at this stage will be:
Humminbird 1157 SI 10.4” combo unit with side imaging
Lowrance Vhf with Gps and Fm radio built in
Over the next few weeks I will continue to add pics to this post so I can share the excitement with everyone on the site and give others a chance to get ideas from my purchase and fit out options.
To say I am excited is an understatement.
The following link will show you what I am buying until pics are posted.

Peter very happy for you congratulations......after so many boats I'm sure you are well aware of what you are after and will be rapt with your new rig. You will love that beast of an engine just HOLD ON. I get 80km/h out of mine you will go quicker on the lighter hull. Mick
Thanks guys, Mick with 76kmh from the 175 running a viper prop, I reckon the HO may nudge 85-90kmh yet but anything over 80 is awesome. I also wanted a 50mph fishing boat _________________

ggoss how do you keep your lures down at that speed?
Ribbit, big change from ally fishing machine to all rounder. It will be interesting to see your comments on both after living with the new one for a while.
Best of luck with your new boat and look forward to the pics.
Peter, this month's Trailerboat has tested a 2100 Walkaround (new) hull weight dry 1000kg with a 175 hp Etec. They claim WOT 42 knots (77kmh). If that's the case with a 200HP HO on your slightly smaller/lighter rig get ready for 90kmh+ and HOLD ON! Mick
Hi Mick
Yeah I raed that review. Actually same weight as they are out of same mould, same hull just diff top.
The 2000 with 175 I tested got 76kmh so same 42knots too.
Smae weight but 25 more horses plus going 3.5ltr V 2.6ltr motor should have awesome holeshot and mid range punch.
The guys at tournament told me 1/2 a hull length to get on the plane with 200HO and really needs more hand grips fitted.
Yeah thats what i want, a V8 supercar on water _________________
