I'm back, after a two month self-imposed holiday, things were getting all too much for me so I thought I'd give it a rest for a while.
No??
Seriously, I stood up for what I believed in and in doing so, crossed the Fishnet line of protocol, (in my method, not my argument) and was sidelined for the last two months for my indiscretion.
My message is, stand-up for what you believe in, but be mindful of how you go about it.
All past history now, well almost, I see the old channels of misinformation are still going on, but being ably defended by a growing number of thinking and caring responsible anglers from the Fishnet member ranks as well as some new recruits, Good Stuff!!
I'd like to thank many for their support during my time as Orange Boy and then there are those that will get no thanks, but that has been done in private, so no juicy stories for the assembled masses.
Points of note:
The Fishing Party seems to be going from strength to strength with congrat's to be had for their results in the recent Federal Election with a swing of ~1.5% toward them in the places where there was a person standing for the senate. Geez, even the Greens a long standing widely accepted alternative to the major parties only had a swing of ~2% towards them.
The times they are a changing!
We, at long last, have a voice, time for the many to get off their collective arses and give it the support it deserves.
Good to catch up with some more new faces at the recent Tackle and 4x4 Show, Gez, Linda 31, Sparkesys, Shining Light, Ghoti as well as more familiar members like Buccaneer, John B, Steve E, David H, AOK47, Afterhours and family, and forgive if I've forgotten anybody.
MickSA, who flew over from Adelaide was, as usual nice in person and should be recognised for his efforts behind the scenes in supporting Fishnet. (Geez, he flew over for one day to assist on the Fishnet stand at the show, well done Mick!)
And of course Emma (The Barra Queen) who we took fishing around the Docklands in search of a Bream or two on soft plastics.
She was blown away by an early morning pickup, on the water, from the Aquarium for a fishing session with a mate and myself around the city and down through the docklands.
Unfortunately, as for the AFC (or was it the ABT) event the week before, things were tough, with only a few fish being sighted and my mate Angelo being bricked by a healthy specimen among the pylons.
Anyway we all had nice morning river cruise, in the end, and showed Emma some fishing in areas the like she is totally alien to.
I see Jaye has got herself a new Commodore, nice jigga, dunno about that Blue though.
Noticed a few of the older regulars are missing too lately, let's hope we see a return for them too.
Anyway I'm back!

Not surprised, people don't like to hear a controversial opinion, dont want no trouble round here.
I for one love a bit of verbal sparring.
So cheers Big ears.
